The 2007 Carolina Women’s Billiard Classic has a new venue in Rocky Mount, N.C. The new venue, The Gateway Convention Centre will serve as the host facility for the event. The Centre is located in easy walking distance from the major hotels of the area Holiday Inn (host hotel for the Women’s Professional Billiard Association), Residence Inn, Courtyard by Marriott, Comfort Inn and Hampton Inn). The Centre is located next to the Nash County Travel Bureau which provides insights into the outstanding area events, shopping and other attractions.

The Centre seating capacity is slightly less than the previous venue but will offer a festival type atmosphere for the 2007 CWBC. Be sure to get your tickets and hotel reservations early as it is expected to have a “sold out” event.

The 2007 CWBC will start on February 21, 2007 with a Pro Am (free to the public) and the tournament will be held from February 22-25, 2007, with ESPN/ESPN2 capturing the finals on Sunday.

The CWBC is produced by Tony Davis of PrimeQuest Association (PQA) and relies on the combined effort of many volunteers as well as the support of sponsors and spectators. Both semifinal matches as well as the championship match will be captured by ESPN and will be broadcasted at a later date. Mitch Laurance and Jeanette Lee will be featured as commentators.
